I’m Dave Ledoux, host of BackToMyGarden. If you’re new to the world of gardening, blogging, or podcasting, this page is for you! It contains the information you need to get up to speed quickly and access our free gardening information easily.
What Is A Podcast And What Do I Do With It?
A podcast is simply an audio or video file that you can play in a variety of ways and on a variety of devices. The BackToMyGarden podcast is filled with gardening tips 3 times per week. You can listen to each episode on this blog by looking for the LISTEN HERE button on each episode page.
You can subscribe to the podcast on iTunes or Stitcher as well.
What Is The Benefit Of Subscribing To The Podcast?
Software like iTunes from Apple or Stitcher Radio will push each new episode directly to your device. This can be your smartphone, tablet, or even your car radio! You never need to remember to download anything, and it’s super easy and convenient.
What Are People Saying About Back To My Garden?
We’ve had some excellent feedback from some very wonderful gardeners! To read their testimonials, click here.
What Are Some Of Your Gardening Topics?
In just the first season we interviewed more than 100 gardeners on a huge variety of topics!
- the benefits of composting and feeding your soil
- allotment gardening and container gardening
- landscape design and organic growing tips
- heirloom vegetables, garden gear reviews, favorite garden writers and endless expert ideas
- amateur enthusiasts and seasoned Master Gardeners
- TV celebrities, heirlooom seed growers and straw bale garden gurus
- gardeners barely out of high school, as well as grand-parents
- garden design ideas and landscaping tips
What Is The VIP Section All About?
The iTunes store is like a giant popularity contest based on YOUR OPINION. When someone gives us a good rating and a review, it helps us rank a little higher so more gardeners can find our podcast and we can share more gardening tips with more passionate gardeners. We set up the VIP PAGE to show supporters of the BTMG podcast how to help us and in return we can send them special announcements, insider-only access to hidden content, and invite-only webinars and online chats. We publish big resource lists every other month, like Top 20 Garden Writers, and you will receive these for free.
I Know An Awesome Gardener How Do They Get On The Show?
One of my favorite parts of BackToMyGarden is the variety of gardeners on the show sharing their passion. You don’t have to be a famous garden book author or celebrity Master Gardener! You need to be able to chat about gardening with enthusiasm. That’s it! Some of our best guests share stories of horrendous mistakes in the garden. If you’d like to suggest someone to be on the show fill out the Contact Us form.
How Do I Find You On Facebook and Twitter?
We love social media! We actively share the posts of the fans that promote us. When you click the social media share buttons at the top and bottom of each episode, it let’s the world know that you care.
How Do I Sponsor An Episode of BackToMyGarden?
We generally have just 2 sponsors on an individual episode. You get a 15 second preroll and a 30 second midroll just before the 5 Quick Questions segment. You get a permanent link on the episode show notes, and a permanent link on the episodes Youtube video page. For a private conversation on sponsorship fill out the form on the CONTACT US page.
Can I Embed The BTMG Podcast On My Blog Or Website?
YES! Absolutely. Each episode comes with a player and download link under the LISTEN HERE buttons on each episode page. In addition every show has an individual YouTube page and you can embed the video for the show on your site, blog or Facebook wall. Here is an example of Annie Haven and Dave Ledoux from Episode 001!
I Appreciate You!
I just wanted to finish by saying that our entire team at BackToMyGarden is here for you, not only as a voice while you begin or continue your gardening adventures but also as a friend.
I do my best to respond to all emails (it’s getting tougher as this podcast gains in popularity, but I will always do my best to respond!). And I don’t hold myself above anybody. I’m not special; I’m just a guy who likes to work hard, eat a lot, putter in the garden, and learn from passionate gardeners.
Thank you so much for your support. And if you’ve made it this far, I’d love for you to come say hi to me on my Facebook Page. I’ll definitely respond, and I look forward to meeting you! Cheers!
